I'm Camille.
Hi!
Functional Medicine Nutritionist and Certified Root Cause Dermatology Professional
I've always been a bit of a health nut. Any time a new fad pops up in the alternative wellness space, I'm eager to test it out. Intermittent fasting? Infrared saunas? Cryotherapy? Check, check, and freezing cold check.

My junior year of college, after a short stint as a vegetarian during a particularly stressful time, my body was pretty unhappy. I couldn't eat anything without getting sick, I was so depressed that I stopped showing up to classes, and I was down to 102 pounds. I had my first acupuncture session and almost immediately felt as if a giant weight had been lifted. I felt calmer than I had in months after just 20 minutes with tiny needles in my arms and legs. Shortly after that experience, I moved to Austin, TX to get my Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

As I began my career as an acupuncturist in 2012, I worked almost exclusively with women, treating stress, digestive issues, and hormone imbalances ranging from PMS to infertility. Acupuncture worked wonders for many of these women, but for others, especially those with chronic skin conditions like eczema, acne, and psoriasis, the results we were getting just weren't good enough.

During this time, I was also struggling with my own skin problems, specifically acne and perioral dermatitis. I felt embarrassed. I was an acupuncturist. I was supposed to know what to do to have a body that didn't struggle with these things. Finally, after another night sitting in front of my bathroom mirror picking at my skin, I had had enough. I made it my mission to figure out the root cause behind my skin problems so I could feel confident in my skin.

Through lots of trial and error, with my clients and with myself, I finally found a method that worked for these stubborn cases. The "secret" was actually quite obvious. Despite having similar symptoms, each person I treated was undeniably unique. When I began using functional lab testing to look "inside" and discovered where each person was showing stress, I was able to tailor their nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, and supplements to their one of a kind body. The results were unlike anything I had ever been able to achieve with other modalities. I, along with many clients I have worked with, finally found lasting relief from the redness, itching, and embarrassment that came with my chronic skin condition.
And I can't wait to help you do the same!
